Colin Delaney – About the Realtor

Colin grew up mostly on the east coast in Pennsylvania, Delaware and New Jersey.  He spent most of his youth in the community of Allentown, Pennsylvania with his younger sister and parents.

Colin excelled in many sports, but his love of tennis took over in his teens and he quickly developed into one of the eastern state’s best talents.  While he balanced much of his academics and sports, he invested much of his time training  nearby in Philadelphia tennis clubs. He was able to secure a top 3 ranking in the state for his age, and won many titles including the Pennsylvania State High School Tournament for his Coach Art Smith at Parkland HS,  and individual tournament titles in more than 40 junior events.  Colin finished with a national junior ranking and was among a unique group of peers of american juniors that included legends such as Andre Agassi, Jim Courier, Pete Sampras, Todd Martin, Malivai Washington, and Michael Chang.

Colin went on to Furman University to star on a squad of exceptionally talented tennis players under the winningest coach in college tennis, Paul Scarpa.  Colin eventually went on to play professional tennis for 3 years after graduating, playing around the world in South America, Europe and the United States.

Colin settled in his current hometown of Costa Mesa, CA and has resided here since 1994.  His first job introduced him to his wife Deanna Panarisi, who grew up in the Mesa Verde neighborhood of Costa Mesa.  Colin and Deanna still live in the Mesa Verde neighborhood with their two boys who absolutely adore all of the Costa Mesa sports they can possibly play!  (not tennis yet )

Prior to real estate, Colin worked at a variety of Fortune 500 software companies managing teams of sales professionals.  In 2001, Colin needed a new challenge and jumped into the real estate field to create high value customer service and exceptional marketing for his clientele.  Colin currently is the Broker and President of Veranda Homes which is located in Costa Mesa and serves all of the communities in Costa Mesa as well as the local coastal Orange County region.  Formed in 2006, Veranda Homes quickly escalated to a #1 ranking in Costa Mesa / Mesa Verde based real estate offices for total sales in 2009.

Colin also enjoys playing guitar, reading, trying to stay away from his addictive iPad, battling his children in nintendo wii, and playing golf.
